PJ,

Robert Coleman ("I") married Elizabeth Grizzell in the 1600s, and they had a
son (among other children, including a Daniel Coleman) who was also named
Robert Coleman ("II") who married Ann Spilsby/Spilsbe. If you run into the
"Grizzell" or "Spilsby/Spislbe" used as a given name, you can be almost
certain that it "traces back" to the above families. The Daniel Coleman who
married Patience Elliott was a descendant of Robert Coleman and Elizabeth
Grizzell. There are over 300 "files/charts" on this family at RootsWeb
WorldConnect....like this one:

http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=dysonde&id=I29

and this one:

http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=stormchaserj&id=I15645

This shows that the Daniel who married Miss Elliott was a son of an older
Daniel Coleman, and a grandson of Robert Coleman and Elizabeth Grizzell. It
also shows that Daniel and Patience (Elliott) Coleman had a daughter named
Grizzell Coleman who married William Edwards. Perhaps one of the many files
within RootsWeb World Connect will have some useful information on this
Edwards family.
