Although my question does not directly pertain to our discuss group, I am
hopeful that someone may have encountered the same dilemma - and, can shed
some light or can direct me to a source for an answer.

If a family immigrated to New York from Scotland in 1852, is it possible
that, although the parents are listed, the children might not be listed?
The children were a boy of four years and a girl of four months. (I am
thinking that if the children were, perhaps, being carried, they were simply
pushed through with their parents.)
