I am trying to decipher an 1802 sale of a "waggon & team
consisting of four horses with the geers consisting of five
pair and a fifth chain, Bearskins, also a Jackscrew and
(here's the part I can't read) 'tent baggs' or 'ten
baggs'"?
Is a tent bag the obvious...shelter when on the road or
something different? Or would you suspect it should read
ten bags?
Also, is the "fifth chain" just a spare
part? Must have been some wagon and team. He got $450.00
for it in 1802.
Thanks for any input.
