Regarding Revolutionary Public Claims:  An amusing incident happened when an
ancestor of mine was listed as CS (Civil Servant) for being in  the list of
those who made public claims. As this moved through channels, someone
abbreviated it to CS and left out the Civil Servant.  Down the line some one
decided  to put an A after the CS.  Still later, someone's record showed a
man who died in 1811 serving in the Confederate States Army (CSA) during the
Civil War.
