Margie, I am sorry I do not have time to help you do research. That is
pretty "close" in and records should and will exist in some form or fashion
to help you find this man and prove him. But just for the record, do not be
"too sure" that you have the rest. For often people "think" they have it
right and it is not to be. Many, many family genealogies are full of
incorrect information.

You have to follow the records. Be they land, church, public or whatever.
There will be "some" that exist even in burned counties.

Good luck.

Please excuse me for intruding, but I need help from experts like you. I
have been invited to join the Colonial Dames,
but am having problem connecting my 3rd great grandfather to his father,
which would be my 4th great grandfather, I can prove before and after
but not their connection.

I would like to discuss and ask for guidance/help on this, so if you don't
mind please contact me.

Thank you in advance for your time and help,
Margie Barton

There are two Colonial Dames societies that I know of. One is Colonial Dames
XVII Century and the other is Colonial Dames of America. The first requires
one to prove to someone of legal age with "service" prior to 1701. I think
the second one takes much younger ancestors. That is why I love the one I am
in. I love proving back to the earliest people. I have done 7 supplementals
since Jan on new people! My ancestors who have never been proven before.
Google either of these organizations and you will find the qualifications
for membership. Both would be by invitation.
