William PHILLIPS (b. 1728) was a son of Richard and Katherine (Smith)
Phillips, who were married in Spotsylvania Co., VA.   He married, 1756,
Frances GREGORY, daughter of Richard and Agnes (West) Gregory.  Descendants
of this couple resided in and near Louisa Co., VA and some settled in TN.  I
would be interested in corresponding with anyone researching this couple.
