I also did the Ancestry.com DNA test.  I am finding the "matches" they send me more frustrating than helpful. I am also female, but did one for my husband too.  He has an uncommon surname, so I would think it might work better for him, but I can't say that we have gotten anything really helpful.  I don't know if I was expecting too much, or that I just don't understand what to do with the results.

I used Familytreedna.com.So far it has found names I know that I am kin 
to and some I only guessed at.it is pretty good.A little pricey but if 
you wait until they have their sales you can save big.Right now they 
have Ydna 12 on sale for $49.00.and they will tell you when to expect it 
and give you a personal site for the results.Can't go wrong with them.
