I don't recognize the name, but normally an officer carried a sword and a pistol. The pistol required a box for powder and ball (or later, paper cartridges). This MIGHT be what you're talking about, and since the makers of accoutrements were many and varied, it may be your ancestor was specifying a particular item that is not familiar to me.
