There is a Francis FORD in the Fauquier Co., VA PPT listings in 1798 and 1799
only (checked from 1780 - 1815) with three tithables including himself,
Richard FORD and James FORD. There is no Francis FORD in the Deeds & LT there
from 1759 - 1815. A Richard FORD appears in the PPT listings in Fauquier in
1809 and disappears in 1817. He is also in the 1810 VA Census in Fauquier. I
suspect this Richard FORD moves to Mason Co., VA where he appears in the 1819
PPT listing and the 1820 VA Census for Mason.

In nearby Spotsylvania there is a Francis FORD in the 1810 VA Census for
Spotsylvania. Francis is in the PPT listings from 1782 to 1812 (only FORD in
the listings). This Francis FORD is in the LT records from 1783 to 1812 (only
FORD in the listings) paying taxes on a 200 acre piece of property. Francis
is not in the Deeds for Spotsylvania from 1780 - 1815. In 1813 a Mary FORD
shows up in the PPT listings (the year Francis disappears and doesn't show up
again). Mary FORD is in the listings only in 1813 & 1814 and then she
disappears.

I would appreciate any comments one might have or any information on these
FORDs. Thank you. Tim Spradling
