 Hi Joy

Thank you but I’ve already looked at Fold3 for William Northcut and have
his revolutionary war records other sources . He did not get a pension
from the federal government though he seems to have tried to apply for a
South Carolina state pension that was turned down. The indication was that
he applied for a South Carolina state pension was in the form of news items
in the paper about legislative acts but I have not seen an actual
application and I’m not sure if they had that same kind of process or if
they just applied to the legislature.

Nothing yet suggested gives me insight on his Virginia roots. I have been
researching him for quite a number of years and this lack of clues to his
birthplace and parentage has been quite frustrating. I am looking for
something that would tie him to his Virginia birthplace and parentage.
