I have a GGGuncle captured in October 1863 near Madison CH. he was in a
Virginia unit. She slips that noted his service (the ones that the National
Archives has and made microfilm copies for the states in the 1930's) showed
his capture, and processing through Old Capital Prison, and then onto the
facility an Old Point Comfort in Maryland (down below  present Waldorf Md).
It actually notes more through his transfer and eventual parole in late
1864. Not knowing how you got the info, if you haven't seen or copied those
records, they may hold a possible key.
