I would appreciate information or opinions regarding the usefulness of the
date a will was probated in estimating the date of death. I gather the date a
will was made has little relation to date of death and could be many years
before death. Does anyone know the approximate average amount of time between
a persons death and the date the will was probated. Is there any legal
requirement that the will had to be probated within a specified period of
time? Is it likely that a will may have been probated one, two. or three
years after death? Thanks for any help.
