Chuck and Mitch, I agree. I read the announcements about various programs and wish I could attend too.

Our company provides video streaming services that can bring any program to viewers anywhere. The library would need to have a camera and an encoding computer for a live presentation. We can make suggestions about these. Afterwards the program can be archived to provide on-demand viewing. It is entirely possible at a modest cost.

If anyone at LVA is interested in discussing this option, please let me know. Chuck is correct. Your programs are excellent and should be shared with a much larger audience.

Sandra

Minor,

I agree with Chuck's terrific idea since I live in Charleston SC! (and I'm
retired on a fixed income and own an 11 year old car!)

Dear Minor:

As a faithful subscriber in Indiana, with limited means and a 16-year-old car,
I'm probably never going to attend one of these lectures; but I am quite
interested in them and would love to gain benefit from them. Is there any chance
you could--in the future--make recordings of them available to your audience,
which is much wider than the limits of your immediate locale? It could be a
revenue enhancer, and it will almost undoubtedly bring your excellent programs a
much larger group of fans.

Just asking ...

The next program in the Virginia Heritage Resource Center's Mining the
Treasure House lecture series will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 17,
2012 in the conference rooms adjacent to the lobby of the Library of
Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond.

Researcher Erin J. Myers will present a lunch-time lecture to mark the
unveiling of the Beth Barnard Nickels Architectural Collection. This
collection contains countless architectural plans and drawings from
Richmond City and the surrounding counties from the 1940s through the
1960s. Accompanying the plans are years of personal and professional
correspondence which capture the spirit of the mid-twentieth century
building industry. The lecture will celebrate the architect's remarkable
life story, her prolific career in the architectural field, and her
contribution to the history of Virginia.

There is free underground parking for Library patrons but please note
that space is limited. For more information on this and other programs
and services of the Library of Virginia please visit the Library's web
