The next program in the Virginia Heritage Resource Center's Mining the
Treasure House lecture series will take place at noon on Tuesday, 15
July, 2003, in the conference rooms adjacent to the lobby in the Library
of Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond.
 
The speaker will be Lucious Edwards, Archivist at Virginia State
University. The title of his talk is "Luther Porter Jackson and the
Association for the Study of African American Life & History." Luther
Porter Jackson was a noted African American historian who taught for
many years at Virginia State. This lecture is one re-scheduled from
February.
