Madaline, each of these issues prompt their own questions. (The Devil is
always in the details.)

1:
What exactly transpired on that day you say his will was 'administered'?
Wills had executors, not administrators. If the will was "administered" then
there should have been aberrant circumstances involved, as with the
appointment of an administrator de bonis non, or an administrator cum
testamento annexo.  Was the person(s) named as the executor in the will the
same individual(s) who were involved in the 8 June 1748 court action?

2:
What exactly were the details of the will? Was some or all of his property
to pass to his wife, for her to hold a life estate? Was some to go to
certain children when they reached adulthood? Or ..... ?

3.
What land work have you done for "John Chambers" of Frederick? Presumably,
the John Chambers who left a will in 1748 was a landowner. As such, he had
landholding neighbors who you should be able to identify with the usual
work. Are any of those neighboring families involved in the taking of the
1766 inventory? Etc.
