I'm back to you experts again.  I need some advice.

My cousin gave me copies of two wills that she found in her deceased
father's papers.  I believe these documents would be called transcription of
wills.  One will is for Josiah EAST dated 27 Aug 1818 (proven 16
Nov.1824) -- the other will is for Shadrack EAST dated Nov. 1792.   Whoever
made the original transcription typed double space on legal size paper and
the copies I have are on yellow legal size paper.  The typist attempted to
transcribe the document exactly as written, including obvious spelling
errors such as "In witnefs whare of."  The copy I have has a few minor voids
and the usual blurring in some letters that results when one makes copies of
copies of copies.

At this point I am not sure if these wills are part of my family genealogy,
but I want to enter them into my computer.

Question:  Should I scan the documents or should I transcribe the documents
into a word processing document, or should I do both?  (Of course, I will
save the "original" in my hard copy file.)
