The Library of Virginia’s archivists preserve digital records too – not just
what’s on paper. Read our latest blog post and learn about the Virginia Web
Archive where we preserve governmental websites that have enduring cultural
value. It is important work; digital “documents” are easily lost for a variety of
reasons.

Image presentation on the blog is now streamlined! Once you click an image it
will appear in what is commonly called a lightbox. At the bottom left of the
lightbox you may choose “view full size.” The image will then appear sized to
your browser. Another click will make the image appear in a true full-size
view. See “Tips for Viewing Images” under pages on the blog site to see these
instructions again.
