The Library of Virginia is pleased to announce the opening on 2 August
2004 of a major exhibition, Working Our Her Destiny; Women's History in
Virginia, 1600-2004.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Virginia Women's Cultural
History Project and the publication of Suzanne Lebsock's influential "A
Share of Honour": Virginia Women, 1600-1945, the exhibition explores
major themes in women's history in the light scholarship since that
first ever exhibition and book on Virginia's women.

The exhibition is free and open to the public from 8:15 A.M. to 5:00
P.M. Monday through Saturday, holidays excepted.

There is free underground parking in the basement of the Library of
Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond, Virginia.
