This site helps you to figure out the Soundex Number you need to check
Soundex File on 1880, 1900, 1910 and 1920 Census'.

For example:  The Soundex Code for CARWILE is:  C640
                The Soundex Code for RIGGS is:     R200
With this code and the State you can order information on every person with
the same surname in a state or county.....
