Greetings,
two of my ancestors from Halifax County, Virginia died between the 1880 and
1900 Federal Census. They were man and wife.

The last info on the hubby was when he gave info April 8, 1887 after the
death of his son from TB.

I have checked the available State Death lists till 1896.
There was no state of Virginia requirement for recording of deaths from 1896
till 1912, so no help there.

Are there any tax records available for the period 1880 to 1900 that recorded
individual names?

Any other records available that might indicate that a person was alive on a
certain date?
Thanks for your time,
Larry
