What was his name and that of his wife (maiden, if you know it).  In addition, do you know the names of any of his adult relatives - father, brothers, etc.

Subject: [VA-ROOTS] Pittsylvania & Bedford Co, VA. Militia Lists & Oaths of Allegiance

Hello: Need some direction.  My 4th Great-Grandfather died in Pittsylvania Co in 1832 & obit in Lynchburg papers noted that he served during the Revolution but I find no proof.  How can I obtain copies of the referenced data?  Research in Cumberland Court House [county where he probably lived during some part of his adult life] turned up nothing. Thanks in advance!
