Since I wasn't aware that Mike had also sent his msg to this list, I will
give y'all the same response I gave to Mike regarding "Genealogy Without
Documentation is Mythology"...........

True - and that is what I originally had as my tag line. But in chatting
with Paul, he gave his version. Since the author of the original line was
unknown, and as a compliment to Paul, I decided to use Paul's version. At
least I now have an original and live source :-)

Gosh, folks, I really like it that we all feel so relaxed to hash these issues over so thoroughly, but half the emails I'm getting these days is from this list and spam for Viagra.

I'm glad we've settled what's a quit claim, and I'm glad that everyone is doing real research and not relying on the Internet (though ironically, this is an Internet list). I hope no one will get their knickers in a knot for my saying this, but I for one would be grateful if there wasn't so much "piling on" in discussions. Lately it seems everyone is chiming in with almost identical versions of the same wisdom. Perhaps a FAQ file or Frequently Asked Questions would help instruct the unwashed GEDCOMers? But try to realize that those who are doing genealogy without documentation aren't going to "see the light" because someone here says so. It's preaching to the choir.

Unless someone can add something material to a discussion, please, PLEASE try to resist the temptation to hit the "reply" button and let us all know your opinion. I apologize if this hurts anyone's feelings.
