A German language newspaper published in Virginia? The Richmonder Anzeiger, which began publishing in Richmond in the mid-19th century and ran during the Civil War, was printed in Fraktur, a German blackletter type. The paper can be found at Virginia Chronicle, the Library of Virginia's newspaper database and repository. The Newspaper Project is excited to have the opportunity to add this historically significant newspaper to the growing list of titles found at Virginia Chronicle.
