Hello Kathy. In the Virginia county willbooks, in the early 19th
Century, appraisers went back and forth between dollars and pounds at
the rate of 6 shillings per dollar (hence 10/3 dollars per pound). I'm
not sure what values you are working with because I had trouble reading
your post: the values came through as =A3126.9.3 in 1819 and $3347 in
1820. Is that 3126 pounds, 9 shillings, 3 pence in 1819? If so, that
would be $10,421.54. Hmm ... something seems amiss. In any case, good
