Mary, it isn't the Census that we are all a bit ruffled about - it is the people who continue to donate family information that has NOT been properly researched.  These people cannot, by any stretch of the imagination, consider themselves genealogists or any derivative there of.  I call them "MASONS" as in 'Brick Wall Builders'.....  If you don't have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time to do it over?

  You are correct about World Family Tree, but now on Ancestry.com you can make changes in the Census.  All you have to do is when you bring up a Census chart there is a spot to make changes.  Then it will ask what type of change in a drop down.  You make the change and you will also get a confirmation to your e-mail.  Hope this helps.

  I have found a number of errors in my family lines posted on Ancestry.com    I 
  ave tried to make contact with the person who posted the information, but it is 
  ot always possible.  I cannot determine if there is a way to make corrections 
  n line.  If anyone knows if this is possible, please share the process. 
  When using the Family Tree Maker on-line search feature, the information that 
  omes back as World Tree (from Ancestry) as the source is often very wrong.  
  ometimes I think that no information would be better than speculation and wild 
  uesses.
