Thank you so much for posting this. I had planned to go to the library and try to get this information but have just been overloaded with work on other things.

It does, however, make me sick to think they are going to name these books for the man who "stole" them. Yes he borrowed them with permission but when you chose not to return them, your wife does not return the after your death, then you son does not return them nor his wife when he dies, they were STOLEN!  He does not deserve them to bare his name!

Many of the Madison County records were microfilmed beginning in 1963.
The list of filmed items is at

The Bragg items were removed before the filming began.  A list of the
recovered items was prepared by David Frost of Huntsville, AL, for the
Madison County Archives.  An edited version is below.  The size of the
task of digitizing and
preserving these items means that it may be some time before they are
available.
