Up to now, four volumes of tombstone inscriptions have been published for
cemeteries within the current city limits of Alexandria, Virginia. Now,
Mr. Wesley E. Pippenger has completed the series with a final 5th volume
Tombstone Inscriptions of Alexandria, Virginia (Volume 5), covering
Alexandria National (Soldier's) Cemetery, St. Mary's Catholic Church
Cemetery, and St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery, along with an addendum
to previous volumes. The strength in this perfect-bound volume is new
early 19th century data, provided from St. Mary's Catholic Church, that
documents the death of two additional Revolutionary War soldiers. Maps are
included to direct researchers to the exact location of each monument
transcribed. Copies are $40.00 postpaid and may be ordered from the
compiler at: Wesley E. Pippenger, 2909-A S. Woodstock St., Arlington, Va.
22206.
