This week’s post is about a collection of Henry A. Wise papers. One archivist’s
attempts to create a better catalog record for the collection resulted in a re-
discovery of papers related to his time as ambassador to Brazil in the mid
1840s. Archivists often revisit catalog records and finding aids to make
improvements or add detail.
