Because of several questions about grants, warrants and surveys, I have posted to my web site a 1787 KY land warrant of Thomas Drake of VA.  Remember that KY then was part of VA.

  Notice that Thomas was deceased on the date of this warrant, and his probable son, Thomas was the heir and entitled to the warrant and the land, once the patent was perfected.  Thomas had served in the VA Continental Line as a Lt.
