While I've consigned literally hundreds of tons of paper to be recycled
and just as much to be shredded over my 30 years in the profession, I
actually have very little experience with shredding.  Is cross-cut
shredding necessary to ensure that the SSNs can not be reconstructed or
is it "overkill"?    

While it is good to share your comments with the listserv, it is also
important to include them on the Town Hall site if you want them to be
considered, unless LVA plans to accept comments from this forum.
