I agree with this comment.     We would have to purchase a new cross-cut
shredder when our strip shredder has been more than adequate.

I have a problem with the requirement stated within 17VAV15-120: to use
a cross cut shredder. My strip shedder for which I spent $30,000.00 has
done the job just fine for 10+ years, wherein I am shredding nearly 28
tons of records per year. Granted my records don't all contain SS #s,
but the majority do and I have no budget to replace my capability with a
cross cut shredder, which I think may be "over-kill as a solution to
shredding documents containing SS#s. Candidly, if I want a student SS#,
I can get it a whole lot easier than trying to piece together a strip
