The Library of Virginia is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person who has experience with providing consultation services to governmental paper and electronic records management programs, development and delivery of training programs and development of records retention and disposition schedules, and preparation of records management publications. Qualifications
*	Working knowledge of records management techniques and information systems.
*	Working knowledge of state and local government operations and functions.
*	Demonstrated ability to develop retention and disposition schedules.
*	Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training. 
*	Excellent customer service skills required to provide consultative services.
*	Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people including staff and public officials. 
*	Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.  
*	Ability to lift boxes or records weighing up to 20 pounds. 
*	Bachelor's degree in US History, American Studies, Political Science or Library Science with emphasis in records management required.  
*	Advanced degree in a related field preferred.  
*	Previous experience in a large governmental archival or records management program preferred. 
*	Certification as a Certified Records Manager (CRM) preferred.
*	An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for requirements. 
*	Must pass a security background check.
