* Bob Dewar will present an examination of the European Data
Protection Directive and its impact on United States business.
* The presentation will also examine the development of United
States data protection legislation and caselaw.

Speaker: Robert C. Dewar, Esq. Williams Mullen

Bob Dewar is a partner in the Business and International Law Sections at
Williams Mullen.  His practice focuses on capital markets transactions,
corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private
equity, secured lending and general corporate and commercial
transactions.  He has been involved in a diverse array of transactions
throughout Europe and the United States on behalf of U.S. and European
clients involving mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate
finance, venture capital and private equity.  Mr. Dewar is a member of
the
Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.  He is a member of
the Law Society of Scotland and the Law Society of England and Wales as
well as the International Bar Association.

Menu: The Bull & Bear Lunch Buffet: Consists of 2 soups, 3 entries,

Cost: This meeting is $20 to AIIM/ARMA members and $25 for all
non-members

Parking: Parking is available behind the Bull and Bear at the RMA Deck
on
Canal Street  between 9th and 10th Street for $2 an hour.
