Wallmeyer to those who had attended previous Virginia Public Records Act
workgroup meetings.  For those of you who are interested in this issue
and wish to add your comments to those of your colleagues, please come
to the workgroup meeting or forward your thoughts to Lisa or Patrick
Cushing.  Your ideas and comments are valuable as we work through
changes to the VPRA.

Subject: PRA Staff Workgroup -- October 31

I wanted to update everyone and let them know that I'll be holding a
fun-filled Halloween Public Records Act staff workgroup on Oct. 31 at
9:30 a.m. in the 5th floor west conference room of the General Assembly
(costumes not required!) Attached below the current working draft of the
public records act -- you'll note some additions and changes in light of
the last HJ 6 meeting.  I've also attached a working agenda.  Please
come prepared to offer suggestions and suggest the various issues that
I've set forth.  I'm hoping to get as much feedback as possible in order
to make as much progress as possible on the PRA draft before the next
full committee meeting.  You'll note on the agenda that I've also listed
future meeting dates for the workgroup, the PRA subcommittee, and HJ 6.

I will be out of the office next week, and will not return until the
morning of October 31.  If you have questions next week, you can call
786-3591 and speak with Patrick Cushing, the other attorney staffing
this study.  Alternatively, I will be checking my voicemail, so if you

will have to email, however.
