Everyone -

As you are well aware, Hurricane Hanna is supposed to affect Eastern and
Central Virginia this weekend with heavy rain (at the least). Duing
this storm your offices and your public records may be threatened by
flooding and other risks associated with hurricanes. Please be aware
that if your office loses power and hot, humid conditions occur before
power is restored, your records could be threatened by mold damage.

We here at Records Analysis of the Library of Virginia want everyone to
know that we are here to help you if you suffer any type of damage or
emergency situation this weekend, or early next week. Hopefully the
storm will give us need rainshowers but no damage. However, if you do
suffer any damage or negative impact from Hurricane Hanna please do not
hesitate to contact the Library of Virginia. We can visit and help you
assess your damage, take steps to salvage and restore damaged records,
and plan for a quick recovery.

To contact us please call 804-692-3600.
You can also email us at [log in to unmask]

Lastly, if you have a Disaster Plan in your office, or have an online
Disaster Plan with DPLAN or any other provider, now is the time to
access that plan and preparing to put it into action. It is a great
idea to at least make a copy or list of the important telephone numbers
you will need over the weekend, when your offices are normally closed.

Good luck to everyone, and hopefully this storm will blow over quickly
and cause no damage. But again, if it does, please do not hesitate to
contact us!

Thanks,
Tom
