We have very happy to have Kathy Jordan speak to the Richmond ARMA Chapter
and guests with Diane Horvath from VITA at their August Dinner Meeting.
Right now, Kathy's big focus is working on the transfer of the governor's
and secretariats' electronic records. And also working toward the long-
term preservation, archival processing and eventual access to those
electronic records.  It's not too late to register!

RICHMOND ARMA CHAPTER
August Dinner Meeting

Topic:  The Roles of the Library of Virginia (LVA) and the Virginia
Information Technologies Agency (VITA) in Public Records Management

Kathy and Diane will discuss the roles of their respective state agencies
in public records management.

Speakers:  Kathy Jordan and Diane Horvath

Kathy is the Electronic Resources Manager for the Library of Virginia.
Diane is the manager of VITA’s legal and legislative services unit, which
provides direct support to the CIO, deputy CIO, directors, and Legislative
Committee of the Information Technology Investment Board.


Place:  SunTrust Bank, 24th Floor, 919 East Main Street, Richmond, Virginia

Reception begins at 5:30.  Dinner will be served at 6:00.  Dinner will
feature two Entrées of Blackened Chicken Breast over angel hair pasta with
lemon chive cream sauce and Jambalaya (sausage, shrimp & chicken with
peppers, onions and tomatoes with rice), fresh vegetables, tossed salad
and rolls with butter.   Dessert will be Strawberry Shortcake.  Our
speakers will begin at 6:45.

Cost:  $25.00 (AIIM/ARMA members) $30.00 Guests, Beverages included
