With regard to the search for info on "Bunker Hill" located near Leedstown, Va.,
have you tried looking at topographic maps of the area?  Many times the USGS
topo surveys include older names of areas, crossroads, and natural features
which been "forgotten" by even the locals. You can order these on line, very
easily, at http://mapping.usgs.gov/
