It was heartening to see the state's assembly and senate agree 
unanimously in their expression of profound regret over slavery. And it 
was appropriate for us to be the first to issue such a proclamation... 
an important step toward acknowledging the internal as well as external 
"tyrants" in our history. Sic semper tyrannis!
