When we found sheet music for an Irving Berlin song entered as evidence in a 
Newport News obscenity trial in 1912, we had to know more. Check out 
today’s blog to hear the racy song that had the city in a tizzy, see one of 
the “indecent” dances that was sweeping the nation, and read the story of 
one Virginia city’s reaction to both.
