Ahh, thank you Neil, I stand corrected, and thank you for it.

My focus on this chapter of New World history dates to 1985-87, and  
these publications come after that, when I had gone on to other  
things.  Whether these are all the diaries, I cannot say, and would  
love to know.  Certainly, Roger Smith a notable Columbus scholar, was  
quite certain in hisremarks, at the time he told me this (1987).  It  
appears that two years late they did come out.  Some day, when I have  
nothing to do perhaps I will revisit this.  ;-)

One thing is certain, the scripted Columbus presentation I learned in  
school, and most kids appear to still learn, bears as much  
resemblance to the actual events, as a Soviet era biography of Stalin  
does to the life lived.
