Thanks Janet for providing the three charters of the London Company.

I have a question I hope someone can answer.  It is concerning this
statement in the second charter:


" . . . for the more speedie accomplishment of the said plantacion and
habitacion, that they shoulde devide themselves into twoe collonies . .
.;the one consistinge of divers Knights, gentlemen, merchaunts and others of
our cittie of London, called the First Collonie; and the other of sondrie
Knights, gentlemen and others of the citties of Bristoll, Exeter, the towne
of Plymouth, and other places, called the Seccond Collonie. . . ."


My question is: Has it been found to be true that most of the first
colony--the one which settled Jamestown--was from London?
