Hebert,

How can you use the word "NEVER" when you have never heard a word uttered by 
the man in order to judge. Just because the reporter left that wording out 
of the quote, does not PROVE that Madison NEVER said it, even to the 
reporter. It is logical and believable that he did say that more than once. 
Do you think he told all those people in Ohio and Wisconsin that he didn't 
know why he thought so but he was the son of Jefferson???? How about 
re-connecting your pragmatic sense!
