More canal boats were found in Cumberland, MD, in the re-watering of the C & O Canal Project. The boats will be destroyed by our Federal tax dollars and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers! I don't understand why they say it's not "cost effective" to save the boats. Hey, this is our money they are using. Don't we have a say?

Anyway, I have the Cumberland Times News story if anyone wants a scanned copy, let me know.

Also, if anyone wants to put in their two cents worth in to Cumberland, let me know that too. I'd be happy to compose a letter to the editor from concerned Federal tax paying citizens.
