This is to announce that the Diary of Betty Herndon Maury, June 3, 1861 to
February 18, 1863, is being published in serial form at:

http://thehouseoncarolinestreet.blogspot.com

This transcript was made from a microfilm copy of the handwritten diary, with
an effort made to preserve Betty's spelling, grammar, and syntax.

The diary begins in Fredericksburg, Virginia with an account of leaving
Washington, D.C.
