In early November, I shall issue Release 4.0 of the Heritage CDs. In addition to digitized hard-cover books, it includes scrapbooks, Love Letters, coming-of-age letters, and musical performances and readings which are mostly of interest only to Cabells and their kin. So the release is for sale to members of the Cabell family only. However, recognizing the potential historical value of the collection, I shall contribute copies to any Library or Learned Association who wish to put it into their archives.

Acknowledging the fallibility of Compact Disks as Archival Media, I have written it to Gold Archive CDs, which cost about 8-times a regular CD---"The 300 year CD." Do I think its going to last 300 years? Naaaaah. But experts tell me that these CDs are much better than standard ones.

If your library or institution would like a set of the CDs, then write me on the Institution Letterhead at:

Randolph W. Cabell
Digital Heritage of Virginia
1007 Calmes Neck Lane
Boyce, VA 22620

If you would like to see a list of the items that are on the two CDs (Adobe .PDFs, .MP3 Audios, .WMV Windows Media Videos), then send me an Email and I'll attach a 4MB Powerpoint presentation which lists the items. (The file is so big because there's Cabell background music playing bombastically behind the presentation :))

Randy Cabell
