Anne,
I also checked the link, and it is very informative. I have been
communicating with descendants of Free Blacks who emigrated to Liberia.
There was a large contingent who left Virginia and settled there in the
1830's. I have also been in contact with descendants of Free Blacks who
settled in Nova Scotia.
