Folks,

Harry Byrd is one of the Famous Virginians studied by students per the SOLs.
I have a Famous Americans page for him at
http://www.educationalsynthesis.org/famamer/Byrd.html

Today I had reason to check that page, and clicked on the first link below
the summary: http://www.state.va.us/home/vagov/byrd.html

and got a message that the page is gone. I wrote the customer service at the
state, and after letting the respondent know that I was a retired teacher
and wondered where the state gov site for "past governers" had gone, she/he
checked out the source of the page, and said it originated at the Library of
VA.

The second link on the page is to the Harry Byrd information on the LVA
page.

Does anyone know where the link went for past governors of Virginia. I
suspect that more of my pages than Harry Byrd will be affected, including
links for Patrick Henry and others.

Where are students to go to find information on Virginia's past governors?

Anne
