The stage play entitled "1776" is restricted to events surroundiing the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The recent book by David McCullough entitled "1776" covers the British occupation of Boston and the New York campaigns from 1775 through 1776.

The two works are not related but are both very enjoyable deiptctions of pivotal
events that happened to take place in 1776.

Is the play and the book, both entitled "1776", the same?
