Smith published A Map of Virginia With a Description of the Countrey, the Commodities, People, Government, and Religion in 1612. It's a fascinating book, well presented and annotated in the modern 3-volume edition of Smith's works: Smith, John. The
Complete Works of Captain John Smith (1580-1631). Ed. Philip L. Barbour. Chapel Hill: University of North
Carolina Press, for the Institute for Early
American History and Culture, 1986. Reproductions of the map alone can be purchased at Williamsburg as well as Jamestown and other historical sites and library bookshops.

Cheers -- Kevin Joel Berland
