The Randolphs weren't interbred at all--I'm decended from them, a first cousin of TJ, and my grandfather's done quite a bit of genealogical research on them.  Yep, the grandfather with Asperger's syndrome, though I really, really, really wouldn't try to make anything of that!
And family history is a rather unreliable predictor of autism.  While my brother being autistic increases my chances of by own son several fold (as yet unborn! due Feb 20th!  <g>) being autistic, my chances still remain well under 10%.
